Towards Mindful Living

Towards mindful living is an on-going program intended to provide a conducive space and support for like-minded people to engage in mindfulness practices, and to embark on a journey towards a more purposeful life. Practicing mindfulness allows us to become more aware of our 'auto-pilot' patterns and develop our capacity to tune into our direct experiences and see what is true and what may have been the 'stories we tell ourselves' so that we are more able to make conscious choices in our responses or actions. As we become more in tuned with ourselves, we will be more able to access our inner resources, know what fulfills us and live a more authentic life.

Program Outline

BEING IN NATURE will be an on-going event held at nature parks. It offers an unique opportunity to come home to ourselves and being in the embrace of mother earth. Being in nature offers an organic healing to our bodies amidst our busy life situations in our modern brick & mortar environment. It is also a lot of FUN frolicking in nature - you never know what/who you may encounter!!!

The sessions will have a combination of various practices (2-4 practices per session) including:

  • mindful walking

  • mindful movement or yoga

  • being and appreciating nature

  • self-expressions through art & craft

  • meditation: breaths, heart-focused, thoughts & feelings

  • reflection, sharing and supporting

Happy to co-create the activities with participants as we go along - practice spontaneity!
