MINDFUL YOGA

SPECIAL EVENT: AN OPPORTUNITY TO EXPERIENCE YIN - YANG (HATHA) YOGA TOGETHER!
Mindful yoga is offered as part of the 'being in nature' program to support participants in connecting with their bodies. Through practicing the gentle yoga poses, one can become more mindful of his/her body with each poses and the limits of his/her body. There will be a short yin yoga practice lead by Samantha before the full hatha yoga practice lead by Alma Gomez, a trained yoga teacher.

Mindful yoga is designed as a two-session event to allow participants to LEARN, PRACTICE on their own and returning to the second session to FINE-TUNE their poses. Hence, priority will be given to those who signed up for both sessions.

About Me - Alma Gomez

Hi everyone!
I have recently completed a 200-hour Yoga Instructor Certificate Course (YICC) at Vyasa Yoga Singapore. Trained in the style of Hatha yoga, I have also attended several different workshops in Ashtanga Vinyasa style.

I am originally from Mexico City, but I consider myself a World Citizen having been living abroad, across three regions in the past seven years.

When I started my yoga practice four years ago, I never thought that one day I would follow the path of becoming a yoga instructor. However, I  recalled that one day while I was trying to get into a pose, I suddenly realized that I was not thinking about anything else, there were no thoughts, no worries, I was truly there, something I had not been able to do with my sitting meditation. For the first time ever, I fully experienced the connection between my body and my mind, the feeling was very special and I felt so at peace with myself... it was at that moment that I fell in love with yoga! Hence, I am very inspired to share this experience with more people and hope to benefit them through the practice of yoga.
"To be in yoga is to be in joy!"
