- Silent retreat -

Inner Connection Silent Retreat is intended to provide space and support for participants to shift from our ‘everyday busyness and doing’ to creating space to access our hearts and experience deeper inner connection. It is an exquisite gift to come home to ourselves, taking care of who we really are and what truly matters to us. Practicing with like-minded people as we embark on this journey is highly supportive. As we connect with ourselves, we connect with humanity... This retreat is more suitable for those who already has some experience in mindfulness practices, or attended previous mindfulness and mbct courses.

In this session, participants will spend most of the time in silence, tuning in and being with yourself. There will be opportunity for you to ask questions, obtain guidance about the practices and/or share experiences at the start and end of the session.

You will be led through various practices including:
•    Mindful movement & relaxation to energize and facilitate energy flow, and enabling deep relaxation
•    Heart-focused breathing and visualization meditation to awaken and engage your heart

•    Body scan to develop body awareness
•    Meditation to cultivate friendliness to self and others

The practices will have short periods of personal quiet time for yourself to take care of your needs, just be or to self-express what arises in creative forms.

Samantha Boo

Integral Coach® & Mindfulness Facilitator

Sam is a Professional Coach, OD Consultant, Corporate Trainer and Mindfulness Facilitator. An avid practitioner in mindfulness, qigong and yoga, she has attended various training in mindfulness, including Mindfulness-Based Strategic Awareness Training (MBSAT). Mindfulness-Based Stress Reduction (MBSR), Teaching methods for mindfulness at the workplace, Mindfulness of the Breath, Mindfulness with Biofeedback, Four Applications of Mindfulness as well as Ashtanga Vinyasa and Yin Yoga workshops.

Mindfulness has always been the foundation of her work in coaching and leadership development. She has witnessed how individuals feel much more at ease, empowered and liberated when they become aware of their habitual way and able to make conscious choices in how they want to respond moment to moment. Sam has facilitated corporate workshop on 'Enhancing personal effectiveness through mindfulness practices' and integrated mindfulness practices in her leadership development workshops.  In early 2017, she started a program called 'Towards mindful living' to support her clients and friends, and was deeply inspired to offer more of this work. She subsequently facilitated 'Working with stress and anxiety', 'Inner connection' and 'Being in nature'.

Sam is grateful how the work has helped her to live a purposeful and integrated life. She is thrilled to be able to share and offer this gift to others. To ensure that she is offering the best support to participants, she decided to do the MBCT Teacher Training course last year and is  thrilled to now embark on the journey of teaching MBCT.
